Pylon signed a fully furnished full-floor sublease in NoMad 30 days after the first call, so the team could grow without committing to a permanent headquarters yet.
The challenge
Pylon, a mortgage-lending technology company, needed move-in-ready space for 30 to 40 people within weeks, with flexibility. The best fit was a sublease with other interested parties, and it needed the building owner’s consent.
What Nomad did
We sent a 12-option market map the night of the first call, toured within three days and sent the offer that evening, with a tour video for the wider team. We asked for financials up front so the sublandlord could approve quickly, kept backup options in parallel, and supported the consent process, furniture inventory and move-in.
The negotiation
The sublandlord accepted the proposed economics within two days, including free rent. The full furniture package was included: desks, conference furniture, pantry, lounge and phone booths. When insurance approvals delayed access, Nomad and Pylon’s counsel secured a later start date.
The result
A furnished penthouse floor in NoMad. The term began in July 2026.
